The Engineering Division strives to enhance the health, safety, and welfare of the community by providing sound, cost-effective engineering services to Cody and its citizens.
The Engineering Division is responsible for:
- Acting as the flood-plain manager for the City of Cody
- Assisting the City Planner in reviewing all proposed subdivisions, boundary line adjustments, annexations, and zoning changes
- Development of water, wastewater, and stormwater master plans
- Evaluating and maintaining Cody's traffic and transportation system
- Maintaining an extensive collection of maps, aerial photos, record drawings, plats and infrastructure records
- Providing technical assistance to developers and customers during the planning process
- Reviewing and permitting of all infrastructure improvements within the city limits
- Working with the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT), and other State and Federal Agencies
- Working with the Street and Utility Divisions to plan and design major infrastructure projects
The Engineering Division is staffed by a Public Works Director, Engineering Technician, and Engineering Assistant.
